The Youth of Today Fellowship projects receive prize money
by Kine Nordstokka on Tue, 2011-02-22 15:19Fellows were offered £1,000 prize money to allocate towards their projects, and the Youth Scrutiny Group were asked to decide which projects they thought should receive the funding. We had £500 for first prize and two runners up of £250.
The money is to be used to support fellows projects. We looked for projects that are sustainable and we asked what they had done so far, what their future plans are, how they will continue it, what the impact will be and who will benefit.
To enter, each project was asked to apply in ANY way they saw fit, so long as it answered the above questions. For example, they could write a report, make a video, write a blog etc. The YSG also sent out an online survey about the fellowship which each group was asked to complete in order to apply.
During the media training residential in Bradwell-on-Sea, the Youth Scrutiny Group reviewed all the applications and decided to allocate the funding to the following projects;
1st Place (£500)- Musical Inspirations
2nd Place (£250)- Tiger Book project
3rd Place (£250)- Radio Carlisle
Congratulations !
